new color

Oct 26 2009

Went out to western Ma. and picked up some new color this weekend. Such a good feeling to have some new color to work with. I have been making some pinwheel pendants with some textured dots on the surface. I think that I will be sandblasting most of the work that I make this week. I have a couple of pictures to post...

Glad to see the sun out

Oct 22 2009

So nice to see the sun outside the studio windows. I took off to Marthas Vineyard this pass weekend to spend some time with the family. While I was down there I hooked up with this sweet little gift shop. She bought some of my Christmas balls and also a handful of my pendants I was so siked to make the sale. Now Ive been back in the shop working pretty hard to build back up my stock for a couple of upcomming shows next month. For the first time I have set up my display in my house to help me see what work I have and what I need more of. I will try to post some pictures soon. Im trying to get someone to help me out here at the studio Im  working on some new projects and think I need a second hand. I think a friend of mine is comming in tomorrow for a trial run we'll see how it works.

End of the week

Oct 15 2009

Well im in the studio working on some glass this morning, having a good time trying to figure out the next steps to keep this ship afloat. It can be a hard road being a full time lampworker. So I went to a friends wedding last month and had to sport a suit. As we were getting ready to leave my friend Scott took a couple of pictures just messing arround. So Scott sent me this picture of me turned into a card for me... So funny. Anyway this picture got out on facebook and now im going to post it for everyone to get a laugh. Have a good weekend.

winters comming

Oct 14 2009

Came out into the studio this morning after getting Kaya off on the school bus and the shop was 33 degrees. So I started to cut a larger hole in the wall to get more heat from the sauna. The past year I only had a small hole to let the heat into the studio so now I think my shop will heat up much faster. It is so hard to get into the glass when it is so cold. I working on a handful of new products this week. I am making some really nice bottles that have been coated with a thin layer of powder then I am sandblasting away some of that powder to reveal a unique pattern. I will try to post some images soon.

getting into the swing of things

Oct 14 2009
Hello and thank you for comming to my web page. I have just began getting into setting up my web site and trying to keep it up to date. I am going to use this page to explain what has been going on with my glass my shows and just about everything else going on at the time. I am sorry  that there will most likely be many mis spellings on my page .

I just got back in town from being on the road doing a fair in south Jersey. We set the booth up with a few different shelf s and counters  then we had at the league show this summer. I got back in the studio and started making Christmas items right away I got through a good number of ordaments now im just trying to figure out a good display for them. We are planning our open house at the studio that we have every year.  I cant believe that winter is upon us I had to start a fire in the shop this morning. 42 degress
